The typhoons Yolanda and Santi, and the recent earthquake in the Philippines, have provoked last days thousands of deaths, many more displaced and a huge destruction of all kind of infrastructures.

Sortu would like to express its condolences to all victims and its solidarity to Philippine people in those difficult moments. Poor people, peasants, children and women have been specially affected by the typhoons. Our warmest regards are to them and to all Philippine citizens involved in the struggle for a world without injustices.

We call government of the Philippines and international institutions to urgently assure healthcare, food needs and all services demanded by affected people.

We appeal, as well, Basque institutions and citizens to support the people in Philippines in order to confront this terrible situation.
