Sortu totally rejects and denounces the abduction by Ethiopian security Services of Mr Sulub Ahmed and Ali Hussein, two senior Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) leaders from Nairobi (Kenya).
The ONLF leaders, who were members of the ONLF negotiation team, were in Nairobi for a proposed third round of talks between ONLF and Ethiopian Gov. about a peaceful solution to the conflict among Ethiopian Gov. and the Ogaden people.
This act constitutes a breach of confidence for talks and sure will gravely hamper them and must be denounce for those interested in a peaceful and dialogued solution to the Ogaden question.

SORTU wishes to send their most sincere congratulations to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Philippine government as well as the facilitating countries (among them Malaysia, Norway and the USA) for the historic agreement reached in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, to put an end to the long armed conflict which the MILF, the Bangsamoro people and the Philippine government confronted.
The conversations about the peace agreement that took place in Malaysia, ended in a satisfactory manner this past Saturday. The agreement reached now complements others reached in past years.

This past January 15th the Tánaiste and Minister of Foreign Affairs TD of the Irish Republic, Eamon Gilmore responded in writing to a question presented by the Deputy of Sinn Fein and spokesperson for foreign affairs in the Dail TD Sean Crowe, in relation to the declaration of the Collective of Basque prisoners.
The Minister expressed his knowledge of the declaration and took good note of it (http://www.basquepeaceprocess.info/?p=7049). At the same time he welcomes and encourages all the efforts that have as their objective guaranteeing a definitive peace for the Basque Country.

We want to state that on the very ground of this agreement we cannot find nothing but an exercise of a deep democratic right, it's democracy at its best this agreement deals with.
